Eating Har Gow

My parents go to Philly every week and usually come back with some dim sum goodies for us. On this special occasion, E was eating dinner and was in for a real treat. He had his very first har gow and loved every bit of it. It's one of my favorites, and it makes me so happy to see E enjoy yummy foods.

Mmm... Har Gow Mmm... Har Gow Mmm... Har Gow Mmm... Har Gow Mmm... Har Gow Mmm... Har Gow

I cannot wait to bring him to Philly for a real dim sum experience. The last time we went with my family he was too little and super antsy. He just wanted to walk around the whole restaurant and did not want to sit and eat. Next time I'm sure we can lure him with food. ;)

Mushroom Baby Pool

After seeing the Summer Toy guide on Hellobee, I knew I had to buy the Mushroom Baby Pool for E. We bought it last week, and E absolutely loves it. He plays with it inside the house and enjoys climbing in and out of it. Then on hot days we bring the pool outside and fill it with water. Since E is a fan of bath time, it is no surprise that he has a fun time outside in the water too. Now I have to assemble the water table, and we will be set for the summer.

On a summer related note, we had our a/c unit serviced on Monday. Woohoo! Our a/c was fixed just in time before the heat wave hit. E and I have been enjoying the luxury of air conditioning, and it feels so good.

Hope everyone is enjoying their summer so far and keeping cool.

E Likes to Make a Mess...

Sometimes I wonder if boys are really that much different from girls from the very beginning. Then I take a look at our house and see how destructive E can be. He loves to get into things and test his limits all the time. He raids my pantry and cabinets whenever possible. He even throws toys to the ground for fun just to hear the loud noise of the toy hitting against my hardwood floors. I hope it's different with a girl. I don't know if I could manage having two boys like E.

E loves throwing books to the ground as soon as he could crawl up to the shelf and pull himself up. Nowadays he usually throws a few books to the ground and will bring one up to me to read to him. On this special occasion he decided to revisit his old ways and throw down every single book he could get his hands on. I have no idea why he does this because he almost always slips on a book. I guess boys will be boys.

Nikon FE2 - 4th Roll

As you can tell, H has been using his camera pretty often. The Holga and Yashica has been collecting dust over the past couple of months. I am too scared to use my Holga because it uses more expensive film with only 12 frames. It is so pricey to get it processed and developed. I am a total amateur and so afraid of messing up. The price of film plus prints is $15+ for only 12 pictures (if I'm lucky and don't screw up). The results from my 35mm Holga were not so great. Okay it was horrible, and I'm not even going to post them on here. Film isn't my area of expertise, and I'll leave it to H to work his magic.

I love how this series of photos turned out.  I think it's the higher quality film & outside natural light.

These photos were taken back in April, and E has changed so much since then. He grows up so fast. I'm glad that we can document some of his life in photos or else we might forget how life was just a few months ago. One more roll of film down... many more to come.
